MTV/MBC station attacked by gang
The MTV/MBC station at Depanama in Pannipitiya was attacked by an unidentified gang early this morning (Jan. 6). The gang is said to have arrived in a van, pointed automatic weapons at the security personnel and entered the complex. The main control room has been set on fire and grenades hurled into the complex. Some members had opened fire inside the lobby as well, sources said.
