Wednesday Jul 28, 2010 A passenger plane crashed in the Margalla Hills in Islamabad this morning with more than 150 people on board, reports said. The plane was on its way from Turkey to Islamabad via Karachi, sources told Pakistan’s Dawn News.
The plane had lost contact with the control tower during the crash which occurred amid thick fog and heavy rainfall in Islamabad.
Thick clouds of smoke were rising from the Margalla Hills. Rescue workers were heading to the scene, but the roads were difficult.
